A Women’s Day reflection…

There are seasons when being a strong woman does not look like having everything together. Sometimes strength looks like getting up when your heart is tired, praying when circumstances haven’t changed, making decisions you never imagined, and accepting that certain people, relationships, and ways of doing things can no longer come with you into the next season.

I know this because I am living it — moments of pruning, reconsidering relationships, responsibilities, and the weight I’ve allowed myself to carry for others. I’ve learned that compassion does not mean carrying everybody’s problems, that generosity must never destroy the giver, and that growth requires the courage to release what once felt familiar.

Through it all, one truth keeps rising: God is with me, for me, and will never leave me nor forsake me.

1. Keep Shining — Matthew 5:16

Jesus reminds us to let our light shine. Difficult seasons tempt us to withdraw — to stop shining after disappointment, to hesitate to give again after being taken for granted, to wonder if our light matters while prayers seem delayed. But hard circumstances do not give us permission to extinguish what God has placed within us.

Woman of faith, your light does not depend on who applauds you, or on whether things are working according to plan. You can be in the middle of pruning, rebuilding, or waiting… and still shine. This season may simply be teaching you to shine without external validation.

What you are experiencing does not cancel who you are.

2. Keep Believing — Matthew 9:29

“According to your faith let it be done to you.” Faith is easy to speak about when everything is working. It becomes something else entirely when you are looking at circumstances that appear to contradict what you’ve been praying for.

Do not allow what you see to become greater than what you believe. God is not finished. If you are reading this in the middle of uncertainty, know that you are allowed to have questions and still have faith, to feel tired and still believe, to cry and acknowledge something hurts and still believe.

3. Keep Praying — Matthew 21:21–22

Some situations I cannot fix with strategy, some people I cannot change through conversation, some circumstances are bigger than my own resources. That is where prayer becomes more than something I do occasionally — it becomes how I stand.

Keep praying — over your business, your workplace, your home, your children, the people and places entrusted to you. Pray when things look promising and when they look impossible; before decisions, while waiting, while rebuilding. There may be things happening beyond what your eyes can see. Do not abandon your place of prayer simply because you have not yet seen the answer. Your waiting season is not permission to stop believing.

4. Let Your Confidence Rest in God — Matthew 5:34

There comes a point where we recognize we cannot build our confidence on human guarantees. People and circumstances change; promises don’t always unfold as we anticipated. Part of spiritual maturity is learning to stop demanding guarantees from life, and instead deepen our trust in God.

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. But I can choose how I enter it — believing, praying, with greater discernment, willing to love without abandoning myself, ready to serve without carrying assignments that aren’t mine. Above all, knowing Jesus is with me and for me.

Woman, Hold On

This Women’s Day, I am not speaking only to the woman celebrating an achievement — I am speaking to the woman fighting a battle nobody knows about. Hold on. Your current circumstances are not the complete story. Keep shining, believing, praying. Keep your confidence anchored in God rather than in the guarantees of people or circumstances. When you become tired, remember that faith does not require you to know exactly how everything will work out. Sometimes faith simply says, “Jesus, I still trust You.” Perhaps that is all you have strength to say today.

A Women’s Day Declaration

Today I choose to believe again. I will not allow disappointment to extinguish my light, or let what I see today determine what I believe about tomorrow. I will keep praying even when answers are delayed, and keep walking even when the road has not fully been revealed. I will release what I cannot control, grow wiser without becoming bitter, and stay discerning without becoming fearful — protecting what God has entrusted to me without losing the generous woman He created me to be.

I will hold on to my faith. I will keep believing, praying, and shining because no matter what season I am walking through, Jesus hears me, sees me, and is with me. And somehow, even when I cannot yet understand how, all things are working together for my good.

Happy Women’s Day, phenomenal woman. Hold on. Keep the faith. Keep shining. Your story is still unfolding.
